Addition with carrying math game | Dragon fire game

Basic addition math facts are taken to a whole new level when students begin to use regrouping at the top of 2nd grade and beginning of 3rd grade. Students use the talents of place value and moving from the unit's place to the tens place and from the tens place to the hundreds place when regrouping until featuring larger numbers.

During this game, students are given several standard problems to unravel, all with a 2-minute deadline. Students are ready to use scratchpad so as to seek out the right answer. Each problem has 2 or 3-digit numbers and a couple of or 3 of these numbers. Out of 4 multiple choices, there is a minimum of two choices that are on the brink of the right one.

There also are real-world math word problems to involve more critical thinking skills. Subsequent screen after every question features a colorful dragon which students are helping. The dragon is cooking his dinner and is successful with every correct answer. However, with every incorrect answer, a bird swoops in to require a fast bite from the feast! This game may be a perfect practice for learning center rotations or for practice reception.
