How to subtract

 Subtraction is a mathematical operation that represents reducing the number of objects from a collection. It is signified by the minus sign (­-). For example seven subtract two the answer is five. When subtracting two numbers, the order in which subtraction is performed matters. For example 4-3=1 but 3-4=-1. The number being subtracted is known as subtrahend whereas the number being subtracted from is the minuend. The result is the difference.
