Multiplication and Division are one of the most fundamental math skills. In 5th-grade multiplication of factors, division of factors move to the next level as students begin to multiply and dividing by numbers with only one digit, especially if the opposite digit ends with a zero.
Students will intuitively use the place value system to multiply the powers of ten into practice, when multiplying numbers that end with zero. When students dividing by 10 and powers of 10 a zero gets removed and all digits move to the proper decimals inherit play. 15 divided by 10 is 1.5.
