This is a 5th grade addition pirate game. Click on the dice to roll. A random number will show up and your ship will advance. There are traps on the way. Do not land on a volcano island or pirate. A question will pop up and the player must choose the correct answer or risk going back. Meeting a pirate is ugly – you get shot at and you go back to start. Those pirates are mean. A dolphin is your best friend in these pirate waters.
In this game 5th grade children will learn to add big numbers; for example adding three place numbers to two place numbers, adding three digit numbers to 3 digit numbers etc. E.g. 345 + 32 = , 4567 + 12 = . In this exercise, children should pay attention to adding with or without carrying across the ones place, tens place or thousandths place. This game is in line with 5th grade common core state standards
This pirate adventure game is focused around math equations created for students at a 5th grade learning level. Answer the questions correctly and the ship moves forward towards the finish line. Answer incorrectly and the ship is sent back home to the starting point. With each roll of the dice, the ship moves to different islands and a new question is opened.
